Hi Zack,
I'm a Pekinese/Pub and my wife is a Westie. She's about two months older than me and we were born in the early 90's. So, in human terms, we must be senior canines. But we have been well taken care of and have good genes, I suppose, so everyone treats us like puppies. We gratefully accept what we can't change and have learned to rather like it, too.
I was born around the Hightstown area and Dasiy is originally from Manahawkin. She's a native Beach Girl, but I enjoy the beach and ocean, too. Our caretaker is our friend, and she treats us kindly. We are two of the most fortunate ones, for we belong: No matter how small it is; no matter how large it is; a family together means love and home. And, I can see, too, my friend, that you have a wonderful home.
Gee, we wish we could go out and play now during this glorious day, but we have to work-- I'm into security (residential) and my wife is into stress reduction (she sleeps and exercises most of the day.)
Well, if you can: Go outside, Zack. Enjoy today. Remember, it's a gift. That's why they call it the present.

I love your dog story and am so glad you decided to invest your love and joy in a new dog. We have had dogs, pointers and other hunting dogs. I remember when Jack our dear hunting dog died it was so , so sad so I can relate to your saddness. We now have cats, in my life I have owned dozens and dozens of cats. Our latest is Ashley, a long haired cat and prior to him there was Cleo. when Cleo died I cried for days and days . I was like losing your best friend. I took us three years before we could bring a new cat into our home. Ashley has been here foe almost 13 years and he is a wonderful member of our family. Of course cats are more independent than dogs but still they are a joy to live with. thanks for sharing your pet story with us and revealing the wonder and love a pet brings to the owner. So sorry to hear about your beloved pet. Gail R. and I have been neighbors for years and I was just searching her website and found yours.
